Mike's CT came back and did show more fluid in his left lung. One of the nurses said they were going to give him a tube to clear out his left lung. Mike was pretty upset about that, but when respritory therapy got there it turned out he only needed the nebulizer. A mask that has some medicine in it that goes into his lungs and help break things up. After that we did some compression coughing and he got some out. They are tesing things because he does have an infection somehwere, most likely the stuff in his lungs. His temp is good and he needs the mask still, but I think he has turned thr corner some. They have him on 3 diferent kinds of anibiotics to cover everything.
He was resting when I left at 1. I'll be back with him at 4 and let everyone know how he is doing at the end of the day.

You have always amazed me with your courage to overcome any obstacle you've had to face. You are in all of our prayers each day, you have been truly blessed by such a powerful support system in your parents, sisters, family and friends. Reading this blog has been not only informative but an inspiration to continue to keep our family close, always. Can't wait to see you. Our love, Aunt Karen and John

Gotz - We are so sorry that we were unable to visit this weekend. Randy was swamped with calls - he didn't get a break all weekend long. It sounds like you have had a few bumps in the road this weekend, but let's not forget all the positive things that have been hapening too. Your recovery is coming along really well so let's just focus on the positive. Hell, you have feeling in your LEGS!!! That's fantastic!!! You will continue to pull though this - keep you head high and your thoughts postive as you have been. We can't wait to see you this weekend! We miss you SO much!!
All our love,
Crystal and Randy
The post surgical complications have indeed been frustrating for Mike - as he wants to get going on the rehabilitation. And then there will be no stopping him. I hope that the source of the infection is found and clears up very quickly to that Mike is much more comfortable. Keep fighting Mike and rest when you need a break. Your whole circle of family and friends are pulling for you every minute of every day - LOVE YOU VERY MUCH - Aunt Nancy

Mike,
My heart hurts knowing you're in discomfort and pain and I wish I could be there to do whatever I could to lift you up a little. Jay is going to try and take off work a day this week to come up and see you. Sean will probably come with him. I know they are missing you like crazy, they need your extrodinary man love in their lives. :) Miss you buddy, praying for each better day.
Love, Amanda & Jay
Mike - Your strength and drive are the best weapons there are to fight your war or recovery and rehabilitation. Knowledge, of both the good and the bad, is next best. With out that, the Docs can't know where to fight and win the battles while you build your strength. Keep your spirits up and I'll see you back on the road before too long.
