Well, it's been a long hual, but according to dad, Mike is pretty much settled in! The elevator was placed this weekend and Mike was finally moved into his new room! A special "Thanks" goes out from Mike and dad for all the people that helped in such a huge way-it couldn't have been done without all of you!
Mike is having a procedure done on Thursday to have a colostomy bag put on. This should go fine and the details on the time of the surgery and the number of days he will stay in the hospital (if any) are still unclear. Mike has a busy week getting prepared for this, so his schedule is a little wacky!
We are looking foward to the October 18th and November 1st fundraisers with all of you!

From the money that has been brought in through fundraising events, to the amazing men and woman that dedicated their time, materials, and expertise to the house renovations. We'll be thinking of you on Thursday and hoping that the surgery goes smoothly and will make things better for you. And what great news that your room is ready and the lift is done. Now you can really feel at home and get around more easily. Can't wait to visit and see the changes. Hope you are feeling stronger and settling into a routine after so much confusion the last few weeks. Love you so much Mike, and we will miss you so so much at Robin's wedding. I echo Aunt Susan's comments. It does sound like the house and Mike's room turned out beautifully and we are so pleased for Mike and grateful to everybody who made it happen. I am so happy to hear that the renovations are coming to a close. Mike, we're sure you must be excited to be back in your own space. We can't wait to see all of the updates in November!

Yves and I know that if the timing was right, you would be at the wedding no questions asked. If only we could bring the wedding to you...I'm gonna miss that smile. It's like my Mom said, things definitely won't be the same without our Mikey there. Please know that we will be thinking of you and will have reminders of you there with the bracelets and our favors!!! We love you MIke. We can not wait to come visit in November.
