Final Surgery Another Success

Mike finally had his colosotmy surgery today and all went well. He is in recovery now, but should be out in an hour or so. He will be in the hospital for 3 or 4 days while everything heals a bit and he gets used to the new process. Mike was really looking forward to this, unlike all the other surgeries, so we are all happy it finally happend.

This will give Mike the freedom to go wherever and whenever he wants with no fear of those untimely accidents. Now we can really make use of things like our O's season tickets, fishing, and so on.....

I will be down to visit Mike tonight. Kim brought him to the surgery and has been there all day. As soon as he gets a room and is settled we'll let everyone know.

We are so happy that Mike finally had this surgery he has been wanting for so long. It will certainly make things easier for him and give him control of all that. With the spring weather coming he will be able to be out and about and get on with getting better and better! All our love to him. Also, please keep Jean in your thoughts and prayers with her impending surgery at the same hospital as Mike! We hope that her surgery will be successful too since she wants to be there for Mike during this time. It's alot to have going on, and I hope you are all doing okay with it. Love to everyone, and can't wait to see you all at the tournament in May!
Love,
Aunt Susan and Uncle Tommy

This is wonderful, positive news. Mike made the right decision and now, like Susan says - everything in his life will be better and better. In fact, there will be no stopping him from doing many of the things he loves. So thrilled for you Mike. And since Susan left her comment - Mike's Mom, Jean, has also received wonderful news after having had her surgery at the same hospital late last night(maybe there can be a family/mother/son discount!). I understand that both mother and son will be at the hospital another 3-4 days. We are so pleased and thankful that everything is going well. Love - Aunt Nancy and Uncle Ray
