Mike is still at Washington Hospital Center and has seen all of the specialists involved in his care by now. His Calcium levels have gone down but they are still trying to find the source of the initial elavated levels. He does not have an infection from the bed sore, but does does have some inflammation of the last bone in his tail bone. The doctors are going to perform some surgery to ensure there is no further irritation, but what kind and when, they are not sure. They are also going to have him transferred to NRH so during his recooperation he can continue some of his therapy. We will et everyone know when he is coming home, but for now, he can be visited at Washington Hospital Center in DC in room 2NE8.

We pray for any irritation that Mike may be having to be relieved soon so that he can return home. It's good that they are putting him back in NRH so that he can continue to have therapy while he is recooperating!

Happy news that Mike is getting special care from the experts at Washington Hospital and feeling much better than he did before his admission. It is a relief to know that, while we wish surgery wasn't necessary - it will be done at NRH so that he will not miss any more therapy than he has to (plus he can skip those long commutes to and from for a bit!). We so wish we were there now to visit - but thanks for providing his Room number so that we can try and get in touch. I feel certain that Mike will be back to his strong self in no time. We are always praying for Mike and his recovery. It is wonderful to know that he is receiving treatment from the experts as he deserves nothing less. Please keep us posted.
