Many of you know this, but Mike has been making great progress. He can now pick up and feed himself peanut butter crackers with his left hand! His right had is behind, but catching up. He also has been praticing in a manual wheelchair and can manage that pretty well too. He still requires an electric, but will be able to use the manual for short distances which will be a good change of pace for him and keep him strong.

His C-DIFF is improving and hopfully he will be in the gym again regularly really soon. He is still scheduled to be home on the 17th, if everything is done here at the house and Van. The lift is scheduled to be put in next week for the van. The construction will begin soon on the house too. The two builders were here today going over the plans and will be getting started soon. The wheelchair lift for the house is the problem. It may not show up until a week after he is schecduled home. We'll take it one day at a time.

The Michael H. Gotznes Foundation, Inc should be official next week, at least with a Non Profit Tax ID so we can give it out to the generous establishements who are donating $$ like the Green Turtle and Rockville Harley Davidson.

Keep the good news coming!! Everything seems to be falling right into place! And no worries about the lift - it will all work out perfectly!! It's amazing how much Gotz improves each and every time we see him!! Now we'll get to celebrate his success on the 9th at the Greene Turtle with all those who know and love him, and even those that don't know him, but believe in his spirit and strength!!! It will be a magical day!!

Keep us posted on the Tax ID information so we can get that out ASAP!!!

Thanks and love to all,
Crystal and Randy

Jeff,
We have been hearing all the positive progress Mike has been making this past week!! How determined he is to get better and get home! He is going to surprise us all. Best of luck with all the fundraisers coming up, and let us know how we can purchase raffle tickets from the Greene Turtle day. Love to Mike and everyone.

Thanks for update on the latest (and greatest) news on Mike's gains. We all were so happy to hear about Mike using his left hand with the crackers and about the new, manual chair to build more strength and offer more freedom getting around. It is just so exciting. As Susan says - Mike is determined to get better and get home. We are all so proud of him. Looking forward too to being part of the Greene Turtle and the newly added (how great!) Harley Bike Party (from a distance) and the Golf Tournament (most hopefully, in person). And the progress with the home renovation - even if the lift is a little late - is incredible. Ray and I send our love to Mike and everybody.

This is wonderful news, when I talked to Mike last night he sounded so upbeat and he was enjoying watching the Sox beat the Yankees I might add!!!
