Better Every Day

Mike is doing a little better today. His pain is being managed and starting to be controlled. He has already started adding to his "Harem" with the new nurses on 11 West and trying to negotiate more frequest sponge baths. All his doctors said he was doing well and we are hoping to get him out of here in 10 days or less. We are working with the Social Workers here to get all the benefits and paper work in place. As soon as he is able they will let him go. He should be starting some basic rehab stuff here in the hospital this week.

Dr Lin, (Mike calls him Dr Dread and hates his guts) actually delivered good news to him and said he is definately done with surguries.

Mike's Uncle Tommy from Boston and his family came down and spent time with him this morning and that really picked him up. Michelle and her Mom and Brother also stopped by.

It looks like another busy weekend with family and friends too. I will add some pictures of the Hospital, Mike and his room later so everyone can get a better feel for his surroundings.

Thanks Red, its always nice to hear good news about Mike. And it sounds like he is back to his old self, hitting on the ladies:)

Kyle and I mentioned to Mike last weekend that we have a wedding this weekend, and might not be able to make it down to see him. As always he will be in our hearts, and please keep us updated on when he will be coming home!!!

Love,
Shannon

Thanks so much for the update Red! It's so nice to be able to hear about Gotz and his progress when we can't be by his side. Hope you're holding up well too! Randy and I had mentioned to him that we wouldn't be able to make it this weekend either as Randy is on-call for work. I hope he remembers and doesn't think that we have forgotten about him (I know that medicine does some crazy things to him!). If you get the chance to let him know, we would both really appreicate it! We will be back in action the following weekend so whether it's Richmond or Silver Spring that we are going to, we will be by his side once again.
Much love,
Crystal and Randy

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the great update...I'm glad to see you on the blog. Like Kristen said, I am checking it all day to see any new updates. You have an amazing son!

Mike, I am glad things are going well and that you are still finding time to flirt. Let's just hope you never get stuck with a male nurse like Gaylord Faucker!!! Just kidding, I know you wouldn't allow that to happen. I love you very much and can't get you off my mind. Looking forward to seeing you very soon.

Lots of Love,
Robin
