Update

Mike is doing well and sdettling in to is new temporary home. He has had a lot of Drs, PT, OT and nutritional people around him getting him on board. He has been in a regular wheelchair to get a touir of the place and now has a power chair to use that they will continue to adjust to him as he progresses over the next weeks. His pnuemonia seems to be improving and his spirits are good. He is anxious to get rehab going and as usual has the greatest of attitudes. His biggest battle now is emotional. He misses his freinds and hopes to see the come streaming through soon.

Hi Everyone,
Glad Mike is getting adjusted there. We tried calling his room number last night around 9 but not sure if he can work it yet. We will be down this coming weekend and can't wait to see him! Hope each day brings improvement and that Mike continues his amazing attitude. We love you!!! will try calling again today.
Love,
Aunt Susan and Uncle Tommy

Everything is moving pretty quickly now that Mike has settled in a bit. We all understand completely that Mike needs plenty of emotional support right now - and that in-person visits from family and friends are what he needs most. Phonecalls have their time and place - when Mike is awake and ready to receive them. Of course, we have our cellphones with us at all times if Mike decides to call us when the time is right. We'll wait for further word on tha front.

It does sound like yesterday was a very busy day for visits. Our visit is not far off. Meantime - let's hope that the Red Sox stop their slump right now! Enjoy tonight's game Mike (wish it started a little earlier than 8 pm). Keep plugging away as you take care of the pneumonia and start your rehab and tackle everything with your usual can-do attitude. We believe in you and Love you so much. Talk to you very soon - Love, Aunt Nancy and Uncle Ray
