Mike today....

Today Mike had several friends visit him which, as always, cheered him up. He has been a little "out of it" due to the pain medication that the doctors will slowly try to reduce. His fever has been under control, but they have him on the breathing machine to help keep his oxygen level up. He had another CT Scan this evening so that the doctors can make sure he has no fluid in his lungs. We are not sure when his expected date of transfer to Maryland or DC will be, but hopefully he is still on track to be moved in a week or so. If there is fluid in his lungs, the doctors may move him back to ICU just as a precaution, but we have not heard for sure.

Thank you to all friends and family for you your support and love!

Kim,
I hope Mike can be taken off the breathing machine soon, but if he needs to go back to the ICU that may help him more. I'm sorry he's had such a difficult week with his pain and breathing, but hopefully he will get through that soon. Hope you are okay, and love to you all. Happy Birthday to Sadie yesterday. I'm sending her gift out tomorrow. Love, Aunt Susan

Mike's second surgery has been very tough on him this week - and if a move back to the ICU can help reduce his pain and need for the breathing machine - that will be best for now until the move to D.C. It is wonderful that you and so many friends were back on the weekend for Mike. Until we can talk to him on the phone or be there again in person - please let Mike know how much we all love him and are praying for things to improve very soon - Thinking of all of you every minute of every day. - Love - Aunt Nancy and Uncle Ray

I hate to say it but pain is good. It means he is healing. Please send Mike our love and encouragement. I can't wait until he is closer to home then I can bug him on a regular basis. Just ask him if he want my brisket or pulled chicken or both. I am sure it can be aranged. I am sure things will work out and we will see Mike up and running in no time.

Hey Kim,

Thank you for the update. I wish Mike wasn't feeling so much pain this past week. The ICU may be a good transition for the time being due to the one-on-one care he gets. Please pass along my love to Mike and tell him that I am thinking of him constantly. I'm hoping that he will be able to move closer to home in the near future, as we all are.

Love to all,
Robin
